It's been so long since my last post! Life after the marathon was a little crazy! My whole world was devoted to the training for 4 months, and once it was over I had to get back to my "normal" life. I felt like I owed some time to my friends and family that were neglected during training, and I just let myself enjoy life without the pressure of any big races for a little bit. During that time, my boyfriend proposed to me and now I'm engaged! That was really a highlight of the new year, and we have no date set yet but we do plan on scouting some locations in Vegas when we go on vacation in June!
Currently I'm training for the Brooklyn Half, and the Tunnels to Towers Stair Climb, in May! I'm looking forward to both events, and they happen to be during the same weekend, so there is some fear of how well my body will handle the challenges! I'm training my butt off, taking spin classes, running, practicing my stairs, and incorporating strength training with some yoga and pilates! My focus is to pace my friend Amy during Brooklyn, hoping to get her a PR, and being strong enough to take on the 90 floors of the Freedom Tower. I also have my vacation in June, and marathon training starting up again in July, so I have plenty of reasons to focus on my fitness and health in the coming weeks and months.
I'm hoping to post more often now, because I do enjoy posting blogs for myself. I like reading back my thoughts, and it helps motivate myself to continue my path of health and fitness. I'm really excited to be a FitFluential Ambassador as well! I want to grow and see what potential I have as a blogger, I love writing and expressing my ideas and thoughts, and if I can influence anyone, or help someone who needs it, that would be the greatest reward from all of this. So I hope I can build a good network and build some relationships as a FitFluential Ambassador, that will benefit me in the long run!
Now I need to self motivate and get my butt out the door for a long run!
Til next time!
